Despite conquering mostly serious subjects, Siberian Elephants contains a colorful batch of songs that incorporate a lot of different ideas. Some songs are structurally complex or contain odd time signatures, while others are quite danceable and straightforward. But in the end, every song carries a lot of raw energy and has a nice organic aesthetic to it. This is because we recorded the entire album ourselves - handcrafted in every sense of the word.

Our first and our last record. Unfortunately, we disbanded in early 2020 after the passing of our beloved friend and drummer-extraodinaire Leon. This record is dedicated to him. We hope that in his memory as many people as possible will listen to the album. All our hearts and a lot of work went into the making, and we are grateful to all the people that helped us along the way. We hope you will enjoy it!

All songs were written between 2016 and 2019. Instrumentals were recorded in April 2019 within two intense weeks we spent locked up in our practice room. Vocals were added over the course the following months. Mixing and mastering were done in early 2020. Finally, the artwork and release were finished in late 2020, early 2021.
